Complete theory and practical testing to become a trained operator and achieve your CPCS Red Card.

CPCS Card Types

The CPCS Red Card is achieved through theory and practical testing in a specific category. For example, crawler crane testing would result in a CPCS Red Card for crawler cranes.

The CPCS Blue Card is achieved by completing an NVQ for any category held on your CPCS Red Card. For example, an NVQ in crawler cranes would result in a category upgrade.

Course Funding

The CITB Employer Network offers 50% funding towards select CPCS courses. This is available to employers who are registered with CITB and up-to-date with levy returns. Contact us to learn if you could benefit from this scheme.

Novice vs Experienced Courses

Both our Wokingham and Bracknell centres are equipped to deliver CPCS courses for the machines of your choice.

If you have been operating for years, we recommend doing an Experienced Course. This shorter course allows you to skip the basics and focus on correcting bad habits.

If you are new to operating or have limited experience, we recommend doing a Novice Course. This course allows you more time to get to grips with the fundamentals.
