Course Introduction

CPCS Rough Terrain Forklift Training gives you the skills and knowledge to safely operate rough terrain forklifts.

Choose between our Novice and Experienced courses, based on your current ability.

Pass the theory and practical tests to achieve a CPCS Red Trained Operator Card.

Eligibility Criteria

You must have passed the CITB Health and Safety Test within the last 2 years.

Activity Instructions

Complete pre-start and running checks. Prepare the forklift for travel.

Travel up and down the slope and over rough terrain.

Pass through a chicane in a forward and reverse direction.

Reverse with a load in a straight line and pass through a restriction.

Lift and place a load onto a tower. Retrieve and lower the load.

Lift and place three loads onto a truck bed. Remove all loads.

Stack three loads vertically. De-stack and place in a straight line.

Park the forklift. Carry out shut-down and securing procedures.
