You must have passed the CITB Health and Safety Test within the last 2 years.
The CPCS slinger signaller course costs £1395+VAT. This is £1674 in total.
Slinger Signallers earn an average of £34K per year, according to Glassdoor.
Ideally, slinger signallers need to hold a CPCS Red Card. This can be achieved by completing theory and practical testing, included in a CPCS slinger signaller course.
This CPCS Red Card is valid for two years. You may choose to upgrade to a CPCS Blue Card by completing a Level 2 NVQ.
The CPCS Slinger Signaller test is a verbal discussion with 40 questions. Prepare for the test with our Online Theory Preparation.
Being a slinger signaller can be challenging as it requires focus and coordination. This includes communication with crane operators, where they must help to guide vehicle movement where visibility is limited.
Although there is cross-over between these roles, a slinger signaller is not automatically qualified to be a banksman. To become a qualified banksman you need to complete an accredited traffic marshal course.
Complete your Level 2 NVQ to upgrade to a CPCS Blue Card.
