CPCS Counterbalance Forklift Training equips you with the skills and knowledge to operate counterbalance forklifts.

Courses are spread across 3 days and include a combination of classroom and hands-on training. Pass your theory and practical tests to achieve a CPCS Red Card.

You must have passed the CITB Health, Safety & Environment Test within the last 2 years.

Certification

Upon successful completion, you will get a CPCS Red Card, valid for 2 years.

Activity Instructions

Complete pre-start and running checks. Prepare the forklift for travel.​

Pass through a chicane in a forward and reverse direction.​

Reverse with a load in a straight line and pass through a restriction.

Lift and place a load at high level. Retrieve and lower the load.

Lift and place three loads onto a truck bed. Remove all loads.

Stack three loads vertically. De-stack and place in a straight line.

Carry out undercutting by both lifting and placing a load.

Park the forklift. Carry out shut-down and securing procedures.
