Learning Outcomes

Carry out pre-start checks and identify faults on a forward tipping dumper
Operate a dumper safely on construction sites and different ground conditions
Load, transport and tip materials safely without overloading the machine
Understand the dumper's controls, components and safety features
Manoeuvre and travel safely with and without a load
Position the dumper safely for loading and tipping materials
Identify site hazards and work safely around other plant, vehicles and pedestrians
Follow safe working practices when travelling on slopes and uneven ground
