Learning Outcomes

Operate a forward tipping dumper safely and efficiently in accordance with industry best practice
Understand operator responsibilities, site safety requirements, and relevant legislation
Identify the main machine components, controls, and safety features
Carry out pre-use inspections and operational checks to ensure the machine is safe to use
Prepare the dumper for travel and work activities on a construction site
Travel safely with and without loads across a range of terrain, including slopes and uneven ground
Position the dumper correctly to receive, transport, and discharge materials
Load, transport, and tip materials safely while maintaining machine stability
Recognise site hazards, including overhead and underground services, and apply appropriate control measures
Perform safe parking, shutdown, and defect reporting procedures
