CITB Site Safety Plus is a suite of health, safety and environmental training courses. The scheme covers a range of roles from operatives to senior site managers.

This includes the Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme and Site Management Safety Training Scheme.

CITB is the industry training board for construction in England, Scotland and Wales. This means qualifications are recognised across the UK construction industry.

BAM Construction Training offer the Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme and Site Manager Safety Training Scheme. These CITB Site Safety Plus courses are designed for site supervisors and managers.

Course vs Refresher

Full courses are designed for aspiring supervisors and managers. These courses cover all the basics and are valid for 5 years. Refresher courses are designed for those who have already completed the course and are ready to renew it.

What is a site safety plus?

What is the difference between SMSTS and SSSTS?

SSSTS is a 2-day course designed for site supervisors, whereas SMSTS is a 5-day course designed for site managers.

Does SSSTS get you a gold card?

No, having a SSSTS certificate will not qualify you for a CSCS Gold Card. However, it is often required for site supervisors.

Does SMSTS get you a black card?

No, having a SMSTS certificate will not qualify you for a CSCS Black Card. However, it is often required for site managers.

Do I need a CITB HSE Test?

No, you do not need the CITB Health Safety and Environment Test for the SSSTS or SMSTS courses.
