Course Description

CPCS Counterbalance Forklift Training provides you with the skills and knowledge to operate counterbalance forklifts.

Choose between our 3-Novice Course and 2-Day Experienced course, based on your current abilities.

After you pass the theory and practical tests, you will be awarded a CPCS Red Trained Operator Card.

You must have passed the CITB Health and Safety Test within the last 2 years.

Activity Instructions

Complete pre-start and running checks. Prepare the forklift for travel.

Pass through a chicane in a forward and reverse direction.

Reverse with a load in a straight line and pass through a restriction.

Lift and place a load at high level. Retrieve and lower the load.

Lift and place three loads onto a truck bed. Remove all loads.

Stack three loads vertically. De-stack and place in a straight line.

Carry out undercutting by both lifting and placing a load.

Park the forklift. Carry out shut-down and securing procedures.
