EUSR PLUS Forward Tipping Dumper Training equips you with the skills needed to operate forward tipping dumpers in the utilities, waste and recycling industries.

The course involves training and assessment to help you achieve your EUSR Card for forward tipping dumper.

We suggest taking our novice course if you have no prior experience operating forward tipping dumpers.

Learning Outcomes

  • Understand the responsibilities of a forward tipping dumper operator and comply with health and safety requirements
  • Identify the main machine components, controls, indicators, and safety features
  • Carry out pre-use inspections, routine maintenance checks, and accurately report defects
  • Prepare the dumper for safe operation, including correct start-up, travel, loading, and shutdown procedures
  • Operate the forward tipping dumper safely across a variety of ground conditions, gradients, and work environments
  • Load, transport, and tip materials safely while maintaining machine stability and preventing overloading
  • Position the dumper correctly for loading and discharge operations to maximise safety and efficiency
  • Identify and manage site hazards, including underground utilities, overhead services, pedestrians, and other plant
  • Communicate effectively with banksmen, plant operators, and other site personnel
  • Park, isolate, and secure the machine safely, carrying out post-operational checks in line with EUSR Plus requirements

Course Certification

Upon successful completion, you will receive an EUSR Card. This is valid for 3 years.

Yes, the novice course ideal for beginners. The course covers all the basics in theory and practical training.

This course requires the following personal protective equipment:

  • High visibility jacket
  • Safety boots
  • Hard hat

If you do not achieve the theory or practical test, we will do our best to re-book at a reduced rate.

The novice course takes 10 days. Experienced courses are just 5 days.

The EUSR Card is valid for 3 years. Once this expires, you may choose to re-complete the course.
