The Level 1 Health and Safety in a Construction Environment is a lifetime qualification. It covers all basic health and safety knowledge needed to work within the construction industry.
The Level 1 Health and Safety in a Construction Environment qualification takes just 1 day to complete. Specific duration will depend on whether you choose to complete the course online or in person.
There are a total of 8 modules in the Level 1 Health and Safety in a Construction Environment. You must achieve a score of at least 70% to pass each module.
The CSCS Green Card is for labourers, not those in skilled occupations. You may be required to hold this card to gain access on-site.
Before you renew your card, you will just need to re-complete the CITB Health and Safety Test. You can then apply for a new card via the CSCS website. Cards cost £36 and are issued within 48 hours.
Once you have your CSCS Green Card, you may choose to progress into a particular trade or occupation. This can be done through completing an apprenticeship or Level 2 NVQ.
