This can be completed online or in person and involves guided learning with a short exam.
This is a multiple-choice test that lasts 45 minutes. Book your test online or find your local centre.
We suggest applying for your card via the CSCS website. This costs £36 and cards are usually issued within 48 hours.
The CSCS Green Card is for labourers, not those in skilled occupations. You may be required to hold this card to gain access on-site.
To renew your card, you will just need to re-complete the CITB Health and Safety Test.
Once you have your CSCS Green Card, you may choose to progress into a particular trade or occupation. This can be done through completing an apprenticeship or Level 2 NVQ.
