Course Description

CPCS Telehandler Training gives you the skills and knowledge to safely operate telehandlers.

Choose between our Novice and Experienced courses, based on your current ability.

Pass the theory and practical tests to achieve a CPCS Red Trained Operator Card.

You must have passed the CITB Health and Safety Test within the last 2 years.

Activity Instructions

Complete pre-start checks. Prepare the excavator for travel.

Travel up and down slopes. Travel over rough terrain.

Pass through a chicane in a forwards and reverse direction.

Reverse in a straight line through a restriction.

Prepare the telehandler for each lift. Fit an attachement.

Lift and place a load onto the loading tower. Retrieve the load.

Lift and place three loads onto a truck bed. Remove all loads.

Stack three loads vertically. De-stack and place in a straight line.

Lift and place a load at ground levelusing full reach.

Lift a load and reverse in a straight line. Pass through a restriction.

Configure the telehandler for road travel.

Park the telehandler. Carry out shut down procedures.
