Course Description

CPCS Forward Tipping Dumper training is designed to help you become a qualified forward tipping dumper operator.

Choose between our novice and experienced training courses, based on your current operating experience.

Those who pass the CPCS theory and practical tests will receive a CPCS Red Card, which is valid for 2 years.

Eligibility Criteria

Before attending forward tipping dumper training, you must have passed the CITB Health and Safety Test for Operatives within the past 2 years. This can be completed at our Wokingham centre for £60+VAT.

Learning Outcomes

Understand the nature of the industry and your role and responsibilities as a plant operator.
Name and explain the purpose of principal components and controls.
Conform with manufacturer requirements and relevant regulations & legislation.
Operate the machine safely and efficiently.

Activity Instructions

Complete manufacturer pre-start and running checks. Prepare the dumper for travel.

Unloaded: Pass through a chicane executing right and left turns in a forward and reverse direction.

Loaded: Reverse in a straight line and pass through a restriction at the end of the run.

Loaded and unloaded: Travel up and down slopes, stopping and starting on the slope. Travel over rough terrain.

Position the dumper for loading. Receive and discharge loads. Form stockpiles.

Clean out the skip and park the dumper. Carry out shut-down and securing procedures.
