Course Description

CPCS Mobile Crane Training gives you the skills and knowledge to safely operate mobile cranes.

Choose between our Novice and Experienced courses, based on your current ability.

Pass the theory and practical tests to achieve a CPCS Red Trained Operator Card.

You must have passed the CITB Health and Safety Test within the last 2 years.

Activity Instructions

Complete pre-start and running checks. Prepare the crane for travel.

Travel to the work area and reverse into a confined space.

Prepare and set the crane for each lift.

Change the number of falls on the hook block.

Lift and land loads at a designated place.

Travel with a suspended load. Land a load that is out of sight.

Recover simulated load swings. Configure the crane for travel.

Park the crane. Carry out shut-down and securing procedures.
