However, as of August 2024, CPCS Renewal Tests were replaced with the new CPCS Renewal CPD.
What is the CPCS Renewal CPD?
The CPCS Renewal CPD is a set of e-learning courses, which encourages recapping knowledge before testing it. This change was designed to introduce a more standardised level of competence.
What’s Different About the CPCS Renewal CPD?
Assessment Style
Similar to the CPCS Renewal Test, the new CPCS Renewal CPD contains multiple-choice questions. However, unlike before, there is no minimum pass mark. This means you can pass with any test score.
The CPCS Renewal CPD also provides training to recap knowledge and prepare you for the questions.
Test Categories
Unlike the CPCS Renewal Tests, there are only five categories of CPCS Renewal CPD:
- Earth Moving and Compaction
- Lifting and Lifting Equipment
- Piling and Pumping of Materials
- Lifting Supervision and Management
- Demolition
